The reporter learned from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers today (10th) that in March this year, my country’s automobile market activity increased, and automobile production and sales rebounded significantly month-on-month. In addition, exports continued to grow strongly in the first quarter.

The latest data shows that in March this year, my country's automobile production and sales completed 2.917 million units and 2.899 million units respectively, a month-on-month increase of 74.4% and 60.6% respectively. Experts said that in March, automobile production and sales increased rapidly month-on-month, which is not only in line with seasonal historical patterns, but also directly related to the full implementation of local subsidy rules, the launch of spring auto show promotions, and the successive launch of new products by car companies.

In addition, automobile exports also showed unexpected growth in March. In March, 875,000 automobiles were exported, a month-on-month increase of 30.2% and a year-on-year increase of 72.7%. Among them, 371,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times. Not only that, from January to March, 2.226 million vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 56.7%. Among them, 954,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times.

Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that the rapid growth of my country's automobile exports is the result of the combined effect of multiple favorable factors. First of all, new energy vehicles have become the core driving force for the growth of automobile exports. Secondly, a complete and efficient automobile industry chain ensures stable supply and delivery capabilities, and adds scale effects to further enhance the international competitiveness of my country's automobile products. It can be said that the rapid growth of automobile exports is a concentrated reflection of the transformation and upgrading of China's automobile industry and the improvement of comprehensive strength.
