The total business volume index of e-commerce logistics has rebounded significantly. In March, the total e-commerce logistics business volume index was 128.8 points, an increase of 4.3 points from the previous month. During the same period, many supply-side indexes rebounded or remained flat month-on-month. After the Spring Festival, companies resumed normal operations one after another, employees returned to work one after another, and the company's supply capacity significantly recovered, and it quickly switched to normal operations, with the entire chain of sorting, transportation, and delivery operating efficiently. The logistics timeliness index rose by 0.4 points, the fulfillment rate index rose by 0.4 points, the inventory turnover rate index rose by 0.1 points, and the satisfaction rate index rose by 0.5 points. The staff index and occupancy rate index remained unchanged from the previous month. The cost index was 113.2 points, down 1.0 points from the previous month, marking a 10th consecutive month of decline. The pressure on corporate operating costs continues to ease.
Analyses believe that China’s e-commerce logistics index rebounded across the board in March, in line with expectations. The unabated popularity of e-commerce consumption is an important reason. Some holiday promotions have led to concentrated sales of beauty and skin care, gold jewelry, fitness and shaping and other categories. The craze for outings has boosted the demand for outdoor equipment, with sales of tents, picnic mats, outdoor clothing and pants increasing. From the supply side, the express delivery industry has actively promoted service upgrades during the process of business growth, and many indices have rebounded. In the later period, against the background of the steady recovery of residents' consumer confidence, China's e-commerce logistics index is expected to continue to rise steadily in April. (End)
