CCTV News: On April 29, the Fenhu Tunnel, the control project of Tongsu Jiaying High-speed Railway under construction, was completed. The Tongsu-Jia-Ningbo High-speed Railway connects four cities: Nantong, Suzhou, Jiaxing and Ningbo, helping to build a "1-hour transportation circle" in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta.
The Fenhu Tunnel, with a total length of 3732 meters, spans Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and is a single-hole double-line tunnel. Among them, the shield segment is 2,420 meters and is excavated using the domestically produced super-large diameter shield machine "Red Boat".
Hong Kairong, chief expert of China Railway Tunnel Bureau and director of the National Key Laboratory of Tunnel Boring Machine and Intelligent Operation and Maintenance, introduced that they independently developed the "Intelligent Boring Brain" system, allowing the "Red Boat" to have the intelligent boring function of "self-deciding parameters and self-execution of operations", and realize the breakthrough of tunnel construction from "experience-driven" to "data-driven". The safety and quality of Fenhu Tunnel are completed in advance, further proving the importance of new quality productivity in promoting high-quality development of the tunnel industry.
Tongsu-Jia-Yong High-speed Railway, as an important part of my country's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network coastal channel, will fill the "north and south vertical axis" of the Yangtze River Delta Railway. The total length of the line is about 310 kilometers and the designed speed is 350 kilometers per hour. After completion, it will be connected to multiple high-speed rail and railway lines that have been opened and operated and under construction in Beijing, Shanghai, Beijing and Kunqu, to help the "1-hour transportation circle" of the core area of the Yangtze River Delta, greatly facilitate the travel of people along the route, and is of great significance to promoting the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
