From January to February, Internet business revenue maintained a growth momentum, total profit growth accelerated, and R&D investment maintained a rapid growth, with good growth momentum in some regions.
1. Overall operation situation
Internet business revenue maintains growth momentum. From January to February, my country's Internet and related service companies above designated size (hereinafter referred to as Internet companies) achieved Internet business revenue of 317.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%.
Total profits achieved rapid growth. From January to February, my country's Internet companies above designated size achieved a total profit of 30.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.1%.
R&D investment maintains a rapid growth trend. From January to February, my country's Internet companies above designated size invested a total of 16.72 billion yuan in R&D funds, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%.
2. Operation situation by region
From January to February 2026, Internet business revenue in the eastern region, central region, western region, and northeastern region increased by 10%, -20.5%, 13.8%, and -28.6% respectively year-on-year. Internet business revenue in the eastern region accounts for 91% of the country's total. Internet business revenue in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region increased by 13.4% year-on-year, and Internet business revenue in the Yangtze River Delta region increased by 7.5% year-on-year. The Internet business revenue in the two regions accounted for 33.6% and 31% of the country respectively. Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Guizhou rank among the top five in the country in terms of Internet business revenue.
