CCTV News: On April 29, the Office of the Tourism Working Committee of the Yongding District Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a situation report. Recently, an online post reported that "160 elderly people reported that the tour group was thrown into a service area in Hubei, which was suspected to be involved in Zhangjiajie local pick-up travel agency." After paying attention to this matter, the district’s cultural and tourism department quickly intervened and launched an investigation and verification.
After preliminary investigation, the tour group involved was organized by the Beihai Branch of Guangxi Feiyang Tourism Co., Ltd., with a total of 12 days and divided into 5 itineraries. Among them, the itineraries of Hunan and Hubei were handed over by Luo Mou, Hubei Jingzhou, and operated by Qin Mou, Hunan (Zhangjiajie) Shenzhou International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. During this period, due to Luo's owed the group payment, the fleet was suspended twice due to insufficient fuel costs, and its itinerary in a service area in Hubei was interrupted. After mediation by the local public security organs, Luo still failed to fulfill his payment commitment and eventually shunted the vehicle to transfer tourists.
The incident involves multiple subjects in many provinces such as Guangxi, Hubei, Hunan, etc. The relevant information has been communicated in advance to conduct investigations and verifications of the subjects involved. The Yongding District Cultural and Tourism Department is investigating Hunan (Zhangjiajie) Shenzhou International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. and other entities involved. The investigation results will be announced to the public in a timely manner, and the investigation will be investigated and dealt with in accordance with the law and regulations based on the investigation results to protect the legitimate rights and interests of tourists.
