In Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, key projects in the second quarter of this year have been started one after another. Zhang Jiming came to a company that produces aerospace products and components to check whether the distribution network fault isolation self-healing equipment here is operating normally, ensuring sudden voltage and current fluctuations in the project and quickly restore power supply.
When Zhang Jiming was three years old, a drug allergy caused deafness in both ears. His daily communication could only rely on hearing aids and lip shape. However, he relied on hard work to keep the more than 100,000 device parameters of 17 equipment manuals in mind, and gradually grew from an ordinary power maintenance worker to the chief expert of Zhejiang Power in State Grid.

In 2008, State Grid proposed to build a FA system, that is, distribution network fault isolation and self-healing technology. When there is a problem with the power grid line, it can be automatically repaired in about 100 seconds. As one of the national pilot projects, Zhang Jiming led the team to start exploring with a design drawing.
How to layout the line most reasonably? Where is the most suitable switch cabinet? After surveying in various communities and high-tech industrial parks, they made sand tables in proportion and repeatedly deduced them, and the system was finally initially built. However, after a heavy rain, the system was completely paralyzed.

Zhang Jiming found a technician from the equipment manufacturer to test it on stormy days, and asked the programming expert to repeatedly calculate it. In two months, more than 100 draft drawings were designed, more than 10 circuit boards were simulated and produced, and the FA system was finally completed, and the 100 seconds in the design theory was shortened to 50 seconds.
The degree of digitalization and intelligence of industrial enterprises is becoming increasingly high, and the requirements for voltage and current stability are becoming increasingly stringent. State Grid has provided a new design plan to shorten the failure recovery time.

When the new system is running, an intelligent switch module will generate 215 different types of signals, extending tens of thousands of pieces of data. On the dense module, any small component has to be pushed back and started again if there is any problem.
Zhang Jiming asked the equipment manufacturer for knowledge on the Internet of Things, and compared more than 400 alarm information with technical information over and over again, and debugged more than 200,000 electrical signals. One year later, the power supply failure recovery speed was reduced from 50 seconds to 0.1 seconds, and was promoted nationwide power grid systems, reducing losses of more than 1 billion yuan for enterprises every year.
Industrial enterprises are constantly iterating and upgrading. Although the re-powering time has reached milliseconds, Zhang Jiming is still challenging the limit.
