CCTV News: According to the website of the Ministry of Commerce, in the first quarter of 2025, my country's service trade grew rapidly, with the total import and export of services of 1974.18 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), an increase of 8.7% year-on-year. Among them, exports were 835.15 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2%; imports were 1139.03 billion yuan, an increase of 6.2%. The service trade deficit was 303.88 billion yuan, a decrease of 24.46 billion yuan from the same period last year. It mainly presents the following characteristics:
Knowledge-intensive service trade maintains growth. In the first quarter, knowledge-intensive services were imported and exported 752.49 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6%. Among them, the import and export scale of other commercial services, telecommunications computers and information services is relatively large, with the amounts being 320.48 billion yuan and 262.34 billion yuan respectively, with growth rates of 0.8% and 4.8% respectively. The export of knowledge-intensive services was RMB 436.34 billion, an increase of 2.1%; the import of knowledge-intensive services was RMB 316.15 billion, an increase of 3.4%.
Travel services exports grew the fastest. In the first quarter, travel services continued to maintain rapid growth, with imports and exports reaching 584.9 billion yuan, an increase of 21.8%, making it the largest area of service trade. Among them, exports increased by 97.5%, and imports increased by 14.9%.
