CCTV News: Recently, some Chinese tourists fell off a cliff while hiking outdoors in the soil, and some tourists drowned while participating in snorkeling projects to sea. The Chinese Embassy in Turkey reminds Chinese citizens to improve their risk prevention awareness when participating in outdoor activities such as hot air balloons, paragliding, hiking, and wading, and other safety risks, and do not forget safety first:

1. Do what you can and respect nature. Rationally evaluate your physical and mental state and skill level, and choose projects and routes with appropriate difficulty. Before participating in outdoor activities, understand weather conditions and disaster warning information. When encountering severe weather such as high temperatures, low temperatures, strong winds, thunderstorms, etc., avoid risk travel and beware of heatstroke, temperature loss, geological disasters, etc.

2. Make sufficient preparations to prevent problems before they occur. Please choose a regular operator to travel. When participating in outdoor activities such as hot air balloons, paragliding, diving, etc., accompanied by a professional licensed coach, and purchase travel medical insurance including outdoor activities. Understand relevant outdoor activities safety risks in advance, learn basic self-rescue skills, carefully read safety instructions, receive safety training, and follow staff safety guidance. When hiking, carry necessary water, food, emergency medicines, clothing and equipment, be familiar with the route and follow the road signs to download offline maps in advance to avoid getting lost due to loss of network signals. When participating in water wading activities, ensure that there are lifeguards, coaches and other professionals to monitor, warm up and avoid cramps, wear a full set of diving equipment, and master the use of equipment proficiency.

3. Travel together and communicate smoothly. When hiking, diving and other outdoor activities, avoid traveling alone, ensure that peers are within sight and prevent anyone from falling behind. Before conducting high-risk activities, inform your relatives and friends of the itinerary, including specific routes, expected return time and other information, and report your safety to your relatives and friends regularly. Ensure that mobile phones and other communication equipment are in sufficient power, master local emergency telephone numbers, and ask for help as soon as possible if there is an emergency.
