CCTV News: On the 16th local time, the World Intellectual Property Organization released the "2025 Global Innovation Index Report". Among the rankings of nearly 140 economies around the world, China rose 1 place to tenth place compared to last year.

China has entered the top ten for the first time since the World Intellectual Property Organization released this ranking, and it is also the first time that emerging economies have entered the top ten. Deng Hongsen, Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, said that the compilation of the index is not only to measure the innovation status using several indicators such as the number of intellectual property applications, but to use about 80 indicators, covering all aspects such as economy, society, and culture. The organization believes that these indicators can fully reflect the performance of a country's innovation ecosystem. The report shows that Switzerland, Sweden, the United States, South Korea and Singapore ranked in the top five. Deng Hongsen said that although the rankings of developed economies remained stable overall, the upward momentum of emerging economies is very strong.
