Relevant person in charge of the Supreme People's Procuratorate introduced that from January 2024 to May 2025, the national procuratorate approved the arrest of more than 53,000 drug crimes, a year-on-year decrease of 14%; more than 65,000 drug crimes were prosecuted, basically the same as the same year-on-year. At the same time, the procuratorate continued to increase its punishment for drug-related money laundering crimes. From January 2024 to May 2025, more than 700 drug-related money laundering crimes were arrested and more than 1,300 people were prosecuted, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year.
