Shanghai has become the most popular travel destination in China, with the number of passengers flying from South Korea to Shanghai increasing by 128,000 year-on-year. The number of passengers on the Beijing route increased by 71,000, and the number of passengers on the Qingdao route increased by 63,000, both significant increases compared with last year.
Korean Air told Xinhua News Agency that China’s visa-free policy is an important reason for the significant increase in the number of passengers on routes from South Korea to China.
Korean Air data shows that Korean Air carried 16.49 million passengers on international routes this year. This year-end settlement is based on the international flight data from January 1 to November 10 this year.
