CCTV news: Look at the economy through data. On November 25, multiple departments released the latest economic data, showing that my country’s economy remains stable and making progress.

Civil aviation passenger and cargo volumes increased in October

In October, the scale of my country's civil aviation transportation grew well. In terms of passenger transport, domestic routes grew steadily in October, with 60.845 million passengers transported, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%. Looking at different regions, business travel in the eastern region was active; the western region showed rapid growth due to the increasing popularity of tourism in third- and fourth-tier cities.

At the same time, international routes performed well in October, completing 6.99 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 20.4%. In terms of freight, in October, the cargo and mail transportation volume on domestic routes increased by 8.1% year-on-year; the cargo and mail transportation volume on international routes increased by 21% year-on-year. The monthly cargo and mail transportation volume exceeded 900,000 tons for the first time in history.

In the first ten months, the import and export scale of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor hit a record high

In the first 10 months of this year, the import and export volume of the "13+2" provincial, autonomous and municipal economic corridors along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor reached 780.79 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, and the scale hit a record high. Cars and other products produced in my country's western region are quickly shipped overseas through the channel.

The import and export freight volume of Alashankou Port in the first ten months was nearly 25 million tons

In the first 10 months of this year, the total import and export freight volume of Xinjiang's Alashankou railway and highway ports reached 24.792 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%. Up to now, Alashankou Port has opened 124 China-Europe (Central Asia) train lines, radiating to 21 countries including Germany and Poland, providing strong channel support to serve my country's joint construction of the "Belt and Road".

Hard-core data witnesses the new economic vitality in 162.68 billion "small parcels"

Traditional lines are expanding, service scenarios are diversified, and new technologies are improving quality and efficiency. In the first 10 months of this year, the quality and quality of my country's express delivery industry have improved, highlighting the vitality of the economy.

Since this year, the promotion and use of technologies such as drones and unmanned vehicles have allowed express delivery to break through the limitations of ground transportation and reconstruct the efficiency of logistics time and space.

The latest data shows that in the first 10 months of this year, my country's express delivery business volume reached 162.68 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%. From "annual average of tens of billions of items" to "monthly average of tens of billions of items", my country's express delivery business has maintained high growth on a high base, and the time it takes to break through 100 billion items has been shortened. This year, the time to reach 100 billion items is 35 days earlier than in 2024.

While business volume is growing rapidly, regional development is also becoming more coordinated. Since the beginning of this year, the express delivery volume in Shaanxi, Ningxia, Xinjiang and other places has grown by more than 30%, and the business proportions in the central and western regions have increased by 1.1 and 0.6 percentage points respectively. In Xinjiang, the postal service has opened 12 new direct air mail routes, radiating across the country; express delivery companies and railway departments have innovatively launched the "front warehouse + railway train" model, which has improved transportation timeliness by about 10% and reduced costs by nearly 30%.

As delivery categories and service scenarios become more diversified, the express delivery industry continues to expand its service scope to fully meet delivery needs such as trade-in of consumer goods, live streaming, and holiday economy, support the continuous improvement of market circulation, and help the continuous release of online consumer demand. It is estimated that physical goods worth about 23.41 million yuan are retailed online through express delivery every minute.
