The latest data shows that in the first 10 months of this year, my country's express delivery business volume reached 162.68 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%. From "annual average of tens of billions of items" to "monthly average of tens of billions of items", my country's express delivery business has maintained high growth on a high base, and the time it takes to break through 100 billion items has been shortened. This year, the time to reach 100 billion items is 35 days earlier than in 2024.


While business volume is growing rapidly, regional development is also becoming more coordinated. Since the beginning of this year, the express delivery volume in Shaanxi, Ningxia, Xinjiang and other places has grown by more than 30%, and the business proportions in the central and western regions have increased by 1.1 and 0.6 percentage points respectively. In Xinjiang, the postal service has opened 12 new direct air mail routes, radiating across the country; express delivery companies and railway departments have innovatively launched the "front warehouse + railway train" model, which has improved transportation timeliness by about 10% and reduced costs by nearly 30%.

As delivery categories and service scenarios become more diversified, the express delivery industry continues to expand its service scope to fully meet delivery needs such as trade-in of consumer goods, live streaming, and holiday economy, support the continuous improvement of market circulation, and help the continuous release of online consumer demand. It is estimated that physical goods worth about 23.41 million yuan are retailed online through express delivery every minute.
