CCTV News: Recently, the Ministry of Education and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly launched and implemented the teacher education capacity improvement project, focusing on supporting the construction of a number of high-level teacher education institutions from five aspects: building a new model for teacher talent training and building a new platform for teacher education research.
The Teacher Education Capacity Improvement Project will focus on building a new model for teacher talent training, vigorously develop postgraduate education for professional degree in education; promote the reform of the "bachelor's and master's integrated" teacher training model of overall design, segmented assessment, and continuous training of undergraduate and master's degrees; and ensure that the education practice of teacher students is at least 18 weeks.
It will also build a new platform for teacher education research to support college teachers to participate in primary and secondary school teacher training, and include their professional development support services such as teacher training in professional title review and performance appraisal workload; deepen the reform of teacher evaluation, and take the service ability and contribution to basic education as an evaluation orientation, and formulate differentiated professional title review, evaluation, professional development and other plans for teachers engaged in teacher training and teacher training, and give full play to the guiding role of evaluation.
In addition, the construction of high-level teacher education institutions will be supported in batches, financial guarantees will be strengthened, and policy support will be provided in the construction of "Double First-Class", talent engineering projects, scientific research platforms, etc.
