It is understood that breakthroughs have been made in gold prospecting in the three mining areas of Anba Libei in Gansu, Hadamengou in Inner Mongolia, and Baoxinggou in Tahe, Heilongjiang, with a total of 168 tons of new gold resources. .
Anbali North Mining Area added 102.4 tons, reaching a super large scale. The Hadamengou Damagou mining section added 41.3 tons, and the Tahe Baoxinggou gold mine added 24.3 tons, both of which are large-scale.
China Geological Survey said that with the financial support of the central government, this prospecting focused on key metallogenic belts such as Jiaodong, Qinling, and the western edge of the Upper Yangtze, as well as Hadamengou, Gannan-Longnan There are 24 large-scale gold resource bases including gold mines. This prospecting combines big data, big models, and a large computing power mineralization prediction model, delineating 47 prospecting target areas, and submitting 35 block proposals, expanding the scope of gold mine prospecting.
Recently, China has successively announced major gold exploration discoveries. The Hunan Provincial Institute of Geology announced on November 21, 2024 that a major breakthrough has been achieved in the exploration of the Wangu Gold Mine in Pingjiang County, Hunan. After years of hard work, the Hunan Provincial Geological Hazards Survey and Monitoring Institute, affiliated to the Hunan Provincial Institute of Geology, discovered more than 40 gold veins in strata at a depth of more than 2,000 meters underground in the Wangu gold mine, with a gold grade of up to 138 g/ton. A total of gold has been discovered in the core exploration area. The resource amount is 300.2 tons. Experts discussed that the scale of the Wangu gold deposit in eastern Hunan is very large, with prospective gold reserves predicted to exceed 1,000 tons above 3,000 meters underground, and a resource value of 600 billion yuan based on current gold prices.
The previously held press conference on the achievements and prospects of geological work in Shandong Province also announced that Shandong's strategic mineral exploration has achieved a new breakthrough, with an additional 581 tons of gold resources. Laizhou Xiling Gold Mine has become the largest single gold deposit in the country, and the Jiaodong region's status as the world's third largest gold mining area has been further consolidated.
