The reporter learned from the Ministry of Finance on April 24 that the Ministry of Finance recently allocated 47.1 billion yuan of water conservancy development funds in 2025 to support local governments in increasing efforts to promote water conservancy construction.
Three key financial support: 22.1 billion yuan will be allocated to support the management of small and medium-sized rivers with a basin area of 200 to 3,000 square kilometers, mountain torrents and ditches, and water conservancy projects with a basin area of 200 to 3,000 square kilometers; 9.8 billion yuan will be allocated to support rural water supply and agricultural water conservation; 15.2 billion yuan will be allocated to support all localities with rivers and lakes as the main body and counties as units, insist on both development and protection, and carry out ecological water replenishment in groundwater over-exploitation areas, construction of happy rivers and lakes, and soil and water conservation in the whole county.
