The reporter learned from the Ministry of Commerce today that since the implementation of the old-for-new home appliance trade-in policy in August last year, as of April 10, consumers have purchased 100.35 million old-for-new home appliances. At present, local governments have organized more than 7,000 home appliance consumption promotion activities, and nearly 30,000 are planned to be carried out throughout the year.
The Ministry of Commerce stated that this year, the policy of exchanging the old-for-new home appliances emphasizes "intensifying efforts to expand and upgrading the people", increasing the types of subsidized home appliances from "8+N" to "12+N" category, increasing the number of air conditioners that each person can subsidize to 3, further optimizing the scope of subsidies and policy processes. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will guide local governments to further increase their work efforts, optimize operational processes, strengthen publicity and interpretation, and promote the further implementation of the old-for-new policy of home appliances, and achieve greater results.
