The project relies on the local existing urban natural gas pipeline network infrastructure. Residents can use hydrogen-doped natural gas normally without replacing the original gas equipment. Preliminary estimates show that if a 10% hydrogen blending ratio is used in urban gas consumption across the country, about 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas can be replaced every year, correspondingly reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 30 million tons.
