CCTV News (News Broadcast): After more than 170 days in orbit, the "space business trip" of Shenzhou 20 astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie has come to an end. Currently, all on-orbit work on the Chinese space station is progressing in an orderly manner.
During this period, a number of space science experiments were carried out as planned. In the field of aerospace medical experiments, the crew completed a number of experiments such as upper and lower visual field research, executive function training, and metacognitive monitoring research, while collecting and storing various biological samples; in the field of space materials science, the crew completed cleaning and replacement of container-free cabinet experimental cavity samples and axis mechanism electrode maintenance; in the field of space new technologies and applications, the crew completed the installation of the fifth batch of microbial prevention and control technology culture chip test samples.
According to plan, they will welcome the visit of the Shenzhou 21 astronaut crew and complete the in-orbit handover. For the subsequent return mission, the three astronauts also need to undergo physical exercises and medical examinations to adjust their physical condition; at the same time, the samples, materials and other research results in the space station's experimental cabinets will be packed into boxes and packages. These valuable scientific research results will be returned to Earth with the return capsule.
