The first exploration well over 10,000 meters of deep-ground Taco well completed the drilling task, and discovered oil and gas resources of 10,000 meters underground for the first time worldwide, providing solid support for the development and utilization of deep-ground resources.

In the process of advancing to 10,000 meters, the underground tool has to withstand the pressure shock of more than 145 megapas, which is more than 80 times the pressure of the pressure cooker. Coupled with the ultra-high temperature of nearly 220 degrees Celsius and the complex geological structure, drilling projects face huge difficulties. my country has successively gathered teams of experts from multiple majors and disciplines, including geology, geophysical exploration, drilling and completion, to work together to solve the problem.

This drilling was completed, creating five major records, including the "deepest" tailpipe cementing in the world and the "fastest" of global onshore drilling in the world. Not only did the oil and gas resources be found for the first time, the researchers also used earthquake waveforms of 10,000 meters underground to make sounds that can be heard by the human ears, and used geological samples and data such as cores and rock chips to draw the first geological profile of 10,000 meters in Asia, laying the foundation for the comprehensive development and utilization of deep and comprehensive areas.
