CCTV News (News Broadcast): Over 600 million pieces of clothing are sold a year, the transaction volume exceeds 50 billion yuan, and the average annual growth rate reaches 92%. In recent years, the high-quality development of Hubei Tianmen’s clothing e-commerce industry is giving the city continuous new vitality.

When walking into this enterprise in Tianmen Clothing E-Mall, the reporter saw that trucks waiting to deliver express delivery were queuing up at the door. There were so many express delivery in the warehouse that there was almost no room to put them.

Because there are too many orders, Fei Wen, the person in charge of another clothing e-commerce company, now has to use a balancing car to inspect the warehouse.

In Tianmen, business is not just one or two companies, but the entire clothing e-commerce industry. Clothing e-commerce transaction volume will increase from 7 billion yuan in 2021 to 51.3 billion yuan in 2024. In the first half of this year, it exceeded 30 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of more than 30%. Nowadays, the newly built industrial plants, shops and warehouses in the local area are full of companies that have come to settle in them as soon as they are completed.

Behind the rapid development, Tianmen has vigorously attracted hundreds of thousands of Tianmen people who are engaged in the garment industry to return home and start businesses. They have not only built a full-chain clothing e-commerce industry system including "weaving - fabric accessories - garment processing - e-commerce marketing - cross-border logistics", they have also introduced 4 17 special policies for the textile and apparel industry.

Today, Tianmen clothing e-commerce market entities have reached 7,000 households, with cross-border e-commerce shipping an average of 600,000 pieces per day, covering more than 150 countries and regions. While companies are busy grabbing markets and factory buildings, they have also quietly moved the "playing field" into the production line. In this clothing manufacturing company, each clothes rack is equipped with an Internet of Things chip, which transmits more than 200 production parameters to the "cloud" in real time. The AI algorithm can quickly break down the needs of different customers into production line instructions.

The prosperity of the industry not only brings direct economic benefits, but also brings more vitality to urban development. Data shows that Tianmen’s clothing e-commerce industry currently directly drives 160,000 local jobs, and the local resident population has achieved net growth for two consecutive years.
