CCTV news: On November 22, the China Enterprise Reform and Development Research Association released the "Global Energy Transformation Report (2025)". Data shows that my country has built the world's largest and most complete clean energy industry chain.
The report points out that fossil energy activities are the largest source of global carbon emissions. In 2024, total global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions will increase by 0.8% year-on-year, reaching a record high of 37.8 billion tons. Energy transformation is imminent. my country's total investment in energy transformation last year reached US$818 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20%, exceeding the combined investment of the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union, ranking first in the world. my country's wind power, photovoltaic, new energy vehicles and other products are exported to more than 200 countries and regions around the world, providing a total of 70% of wind power equipment and 80% of photovoltaic modules to the world, driving global wind power and photovoltaic power generation costs to drop by more than 60% and 80% respectively.

Zhang Yuzhuo, director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, said: "As of September 2025, the installed wind power and photovoltaic capacity of central enterprises is 840 million kilowatts, accounting for about half of the country's total installed wind power and photovoltaic capacity. At the same time, a number of major scientific and technological achievements with the world's advanced level have been obtained in the fields of clean and efficient utilization of coal, ultra-high voltage power transmission, and advanced nuclear energy, playing a backbone role in my country's green and low-carbon energy transformation."

As the world's largest coal consumer, my country's proportion of coal-fired power installed capacity has continued to decline in recent years, from 58.7% in 2015 to 33.1% in the first half of 2025. At the same time, my country is becoming a global "leader" in the field of renewable energy hydrogen production and related industrial development. As of September 2025, the global committed investment in clean hydrogen projects has reached US$110 billion, and my country ranks first in the world with a committed investment of US$33 billion. As of now, my country's green hydrogen energy production capacity exceeds 150,000 tons/year, accounting for more than 50% of the global total; 540 hydrogenation stations have been built, accounting for 40% of the global total.

In a new round of nationally determined contributions, my country proposed that by 2035, non-fossil energy consumption will account for more than 30% of total energy consumption, and the total installed capacity of wind power and solar power will be more than six times that of 2020, striving to reach 3.6 billion kilowatts.
