Today (16th), the Ministry of Commerce held a special press conference, and relevant units introduced the subsidies for purchase of mobile phones, tablets, smart watches (bracelets) and the policy of exchanging new appliances for new home appliances.
All parts of the country will implement new subsidies for mobile phones and other digital products starting from January 20. The specific implementation time shall be subject to local notifications.
The subsidy standard for individual consumers to purchase three types of digital products such as mobile phones, tablets, smart watches (bracelets) is that for products with a sales price of no more than 6,000 yuan, a subsidy will be given at 15% of the product sales price. Each consumer can subsidize one piece for each type of product, and each piece will be subsidized no more than 500 yuan.
Subsidies for three types of digital products such as mobile phones are subsidies for purchase of new products, not for exchange of old products, nor for the premise of paying for old products.
When consumers purchase mobile phones and other products, they can enjoy immediate payment reductions whether through online platforms or offline physical stores. Operators shall not commit price fraud such as false discounts, false low prices, and failure to fulfill price commitments during the sales process. If the behavior of "raising prices first and subsidies first" is discovered, it will be transferred to relevant departments in a timely manner to ensure the implementation of national policies.
