Since last winter, the national average precipitation has been less than 50% less than the same period last year, and some areas have experienced mild soil moisture shortage. At present, various places are scientifically allocating water sources to promote precise irrigation.
In Neihuang County, Anyang, Henan Province, the local area uses the complete irrigation water system in the east and west lines of the jurisdiction to quickly introduce the Yellow River and Wei River water, providing irrigation water sources for more than 400,000 acres of wheat fields in 12 townships along the route. At present, the total amount of spring irrigation and water diversion has reached 10 million cubic meters.
In Zoucheng, Shandong, more than 500,000 acres of wheat fields have entered the rebirth period. This year, the local area has invested more than 4,600 new irrigation equipment such as mobile sprinklers. These equipment has replaced the previous flooding, which not only saves water, but also improves the soil environment.
At present, some Yellow River Basin irrigation areas in Shanxi, Shandong, Shaanxi and other provinces in the Yellow River Basin have started water extraction and spring irrigation work. The Yangtze River Basin irrigation area is accelerating the winter repair of farmland water conservancy and silting and sweeping, and restoration of water damage engineering facilities to ensure the safe and smooth water transfer during spring irrigation.
