On October 8, as 1,293 China-Europe trains loaded with auto parts, daily necessities and other commodities departed from the Erenhot railway port in Inner Mongolia, the number of China-Europe trains passing through the middle channel this year exceeded 3,000, 39 days ahead of last year. For three consecutive years, more than 3,000 China-Europe freight trains have passed through the Erenhot Railway Port.
Currently, the Erenhot Railway Port has 74 China-Europe train lines, reaching more than 70 cities in more than 10 countries. It radiates to most of the first cities of China-Europe trains domestically. Since the opening of the first train in 2013, a total of nearly 21,000 China-Europe trains have passed through the port. The types of transported goods have been significantly upgraded. The proportion of high value-added products such as new energy vehicles and high-end machinery and equipment has increased from less than 10% in the early days to more than 40%.
