China News Service Seoul | On September 29, according to Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean government will pilot a visa-free entry policy for Chinese group tourists starting today, and the policy will last until June 30, 2026. According to regulations, Chinese tourism groups composed of three or more people can enjoy visa-free entry treatment, with a maximum stay time of 15 days.

The Jeju area continues to maintain the original visa-free policy. Chinese individual and group tourists can enter the country without visa and stay in the area for 30 days.

This measure introduced by the South Korean government to promote the recovery of the tourism industry is expected to attract a large number of Chinese tourists to South Korea during the implementation of the policy. Industry analysts believe that although the number of tourists may not immediately increase significantly in the early stage of the visa-free policy trial, the policy effect will gradually emerge by the end of this year.

Tourism industry insiders said that the visa-free policy is of great symbolic significance and will provide favorable conditions for gradually increasing the visits to South Korea by Chinese tourists. The Korean tourism industry is ready for the possible increase in tourist flow.

China News Service believes that the implementation of this policy marks a new stage in China-South Korea tourism exchanges and is expected to further promote personnel and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
