CCTV News: The 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games will open in Beijing on August 14. The world's first personal robot sports event has specially set up robot stand-alone dance and group dance. The participating robots at the Beijing Dance Academy must realize human-machine dance performance. Let’s see the progress of the training together.

Reporter of the General Station Mao Yuxuan: Beside me are 9 humanoid robots that are about to participate in this human-machine dance performance. You can see that the robot, from the bun, the face, to the armor on its body, and the fabric for heat dissipation behind it, are all 3D printed, which is completely in line with the robot's movable joints and body shape. Why do you do this? It is to ensure that the robot can stretch as much as possible during dance performances without any constraints or burdens. This robot is not only an industrial product or a technological product, it is also a fusion of art and technology.

The 9 robots participated in the performance of the dance "The Soul of the Qin Terracotta Warriors". The dance work is adapted from a solo dance work that won the gold medal in the National "Tao Li Cup" Dance Competition in 1997. The solo dance is adapted into a group dance completed by 9 robots and 1 dancer. It is quite difficult from the actor's movement to the movement arrangement. Each robot's movement must not only be independently programmed, but also grouped and linked.

Because the basic movements set by the robot in the original factory cannot meet the smooth standards of dance movements, most of the dance movements of the robot are collected by dancers wearing motion capture suits.

In the stand-alone dance performance competition, students from Beijing Dance Academy chose this relatively shorter robot. What it wants to accomplish is the traditional Chaoshan Ying singing and dancing performance.
