CCTV News (News Network): Since the beginning of this year, my country has continued to improve the charging network, improve the quality of facility operation and service, and further accelerate the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure.
The latest data from the National Energy Administration shows that as of the end of June 2025, the total number of electric vehicle charging facilities in my country has reached 16.1 million, including 4.096 million public charging facilities and 12.04 million private charging facilities.
The charging network is getting denser and denser. As of now, except for Tibet and Qinghai, other provinces have achieved "full coverage of county and county" for charging stations, and 14 provinces have achieved "full coverage of townships" for charging piles. The increase in county charging piles in western regions such as Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, and Gansu is particularly prominent.
Now, the county coverage rate of charging facilities in my country has reached 97.08%, and the township coverage rate has reached 80.02%. In the first half of this year, the total charging capacity of new energy vehicles in the country reached 54.923 billion kilowatt-hours, and the annual charging capacity is expected to be comparable to the annual power generation of the Three Gorges Power Station.
