Minister of the Ministry of Transport Liu Wei said that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, my country has built the world's largest high-speed railway network, highway network and postal express network. The "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network has been completed and put into production, with a high-speed rail operating mileage of 48,000 kilometers, accounting for more than 70% of the world's total high-speed rail mileage; 33 national high-speed rail main lines are basically completed, with a highway mileage of 191,000 kilometers; the "four vertical and four horizontal and two networks" national high-level waterways have met 70.4%, and the port size and capacity have remained the world's first in many years; aviation services cover 92.6% of the prefecture-level administrative units and 91.2% of the population in the country; more than 500,000 business outlets have been established in the postal industry.
