Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said in response to relevant questions at a regular press conference on the 30th that since the beginning of this year, on the basis of continuing to carry out international monitoring of Fukushima nuclear-polluted water discharge and China's independent sampling and testing results have not been abnormal, China and Japan have contacted and negotiated on the safety of Japanese aquatic products. Lin Jian said that on May 28, the General Administration of Customs of China should conduct a new round of technical exchanges on Japanese aquatic product safety issues in Beijing and make substantial progress. Japan promises to take credible and visual measures to ensure the quality and safety of Japanese aquatic products and ensure that they meet Chinese regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
