CCTV News: The State Post Bureau announced the operation of the postal industry in April 2025. In April, the business income of the postal industry (excluding the direct operating income of the Postal Savings Bank) reached 144.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.5%. Among them, the express delivery business revenue reached 121.28 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year.

In April, the postal industry's delivery business volume reached 17.75 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%. Among them, the express delivery business volume reached 16.32 billion pieces, an increase of 19.1% year-on-year.

From January to April, the cumulative business revenue of the postal industry reached 569.12 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1% year-on-year. Among them, the cumulative revenue of express delivery business reached 466.91 billion yuan, an increase of 10.9% year-on-year.

From January to April, the postal industry's delivery business volume reached a total of 67.4 billion pieces, an increase of 18.3% year-on-year. Among them, the express delivery business volume reached 61.45 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 20.9%.

From January to April, the cumulative volume of express delivery in the same city reached 4.96 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%; the cumulative volume of express delivery in the off-site reached 55.15 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 22.6%; the cumulative volume of express delivery in the international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan reached 1.35 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 25.4%.

From January to April, the express delivery business volume in the same city, off-site, international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan accounted for 8.1%, 89.7% and 2.2% of the total express delivery business volume respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of express delivery volume in the same city decreased by 1.2 percentage points, the proportion of express delivery volume in the off-site increased by 1.1 percentage points, and the proportion of international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 0.1 percentage points.

From January to April, the proportion of express delivery business revenue in the eastern, central and western regions was 74.0%, 15.5% and 10.5% respectively, and the proportion of express delivery business volume was 71.4%, 19.4% and 9.2% respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of express business revenue in the eastern region fell by 0.7 percentage points, and the proportion of express business volume decreased by 1.6 percentage points; the proportion of express business revenue in the central region increased by 0.5 percentage points, and the proportion of express business volume increased by 0.9 percentage points; the proportion of express business revenue in the western region increased by 0.2 percentage points, and the proportion of express business volume increased by 0.7 percentage points.

From January to April, the brand concentration index of express delivery and parcel services was CR8 at 86.7, down 0.2 from January to March.
