Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 15th. On May 14, President Xi Jinping called Jean-Lucian Savi Detov to congratulate him on his as President of the Republic of Togo. On the same day, President Xi Jinping also called Fore Esosimna Nasimbe to congratulate him on his inauguration as Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Togo.
Xi Jinping pointed out that China-Domino friendly relations have been jointly created and carefully cultivated by leaders of the two countries. For more than half a century, the two sides have always adhered to sincerity and friendship, equality, mutual trust, and win-win cooperation. They have firmly supported each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns, and have become a model of equal treatment between countries, large and small, and unity and cooperation in the global South. During the Beijing Summit of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, China-Domestic relations were upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. I attach great importance to the development of China-Domestic relations and am willing to work with the leaders of Togolese to take the opportunity of implementing the achievements of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, continue traditional friendship, expand cooperation in various fields, continuously enrich the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and better benefit the people of both countries.
On the same day, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council also called to congratulate Fure on his inauguration as chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Togo.
