CCTV News: According to the WeChat official account of "City Saying New Language", recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation guided the China Meat Association to issue risk prevention and control tips to domestic meat product business enterprises, promote the meat product industry to strengthen self-discipline, urge all member units to strictly implement the main responsibility for food safety, establish and improve risk prevention and control mechanisms, strengthen internal management, ensure that all links such as meat product procurement, storage, logistics, and sales comply with laws, regulations and food safety standards, effectively prevent food safety risks, and provide consumers with reliable and high-quality meat products. The tips include three aspects: First, when food operators and edible agricultural product sellers purchase meat products, they should strictly implement the purchase inspection requirements in accordance with the law, and strictly check the corresponding animal quarantine qualification certificate and meat quality inspection qualification certificate in accordance with regulations.
Secondly, sellers of edible agricultural products should truthfully indicate the product name, origin and other specific information, and shall not contain misleading content. When dividing and selling meat products at the sales venue, meat information should be truthfully marked in a clear location in the packaging or sales venue, and misleading content should not be falsely marked.
Third, third-party storage service providers should fulfill their main responsibilities, truthfully record the relevant information of the entrusted party, check and retain relevant animal quarantine certificates, meat quality inspection certificates and other supporting documents, and strengthen storage process management. When storing imported meat products, the certificates issued by the customs department shall be checked and kept. If a third-party cold storage is engaged in meat product storage business, it shall register in accordance with regulations.
