The Central Ecological Environment Protection Inspection is a major measure taken by the Party Central Committee to promote the construction of ecological civilization. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council recently issued the "Regulations on the Inspection Work of Ecological Environment Protection".
The Regulations stipulate that under the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, the ecological environment protection inspection system at the central and provincial, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government will be implemented. The ecological environment protection inspection of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government is an extension and supplement to the central ecological environment protection inspection.
The central ecological environment protection inspection targets include four categories: the party committees and governments of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government; the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, relevant departments of the State Council that undertake important ecological environment protection responsibilities; relevant central enterprises that engage in production and operation activities have a greater impact on the ecological environment; and other units that the Party Central Committee requires inspection.
The targets of ecological and environmental protection inspections in provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government are the municipal party committees and governments in the administrative region, provincial ecological and environmental authorities, relevant departments of provincial governments, and relevant provincial enterprises.
