CCTV News: Recently, various places have launched the "Silver Train" route, known as a tourist resort on the railway, and has become a new choice for many elderly people to travel.
At around 9 pm, the Y664 "West Train Tour·Kongtong" took more than 220 passengers to set off from Gansu Lanzhou West Station, starting a 4-day and 3-night slow journey. The train is themed on flower viewing and outings and leisure and health. It passes through Baiyin, Pingliang and other places in Gansu, connecting attractions such as Kongtong Mountain and Dayun Temple, attracting a large number of silver-haired tourists over 60 years old.
In view of the high proportion of silver-haired tourists, a series of thoughtful services are provided on the train. All are sleeper berths, adopting a "hotel-style" design, and all facilities such as TVs, independent bathrooms, intelligent temperature regulation systems are available. There are also professional tour guides in the carriage to provide explanation services, and provide activities such as tea tasting and chess playing to fully meet the needs of different tourists.
In addition to this train, the Lanzhou Bureau of the National Railway has successively created many types of tourism trains such as "Dunhuang Cultural Tourism Special Train" and "Longshang Jiangnan Tourism Special Train". Next, it plans to launch "summer escape and leisure special trains" in summer, "red leaves appreciation special trains" in autumn, and "snow scene health and wellness special trains" in winter.
