CCTV News: The reporter learned from the China Railway Group on May 11 that from January to April 2025, railway construction will be promoted with high quality and efficient development, and the national railway has completed nearly 200 billion yuan in fixed asset investment, and a number of key railway construction projects in the "14th Five-Year Plan" plan will be accelerated.

First four months, the China Railway Corporation implemented the national "two-level" project support policy and promoted railway engineering construction with high quality and efficiency. National railways completed fixed asset investment of 194.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%.

Among them, the Chengdu Bureau of the China Railway completed a railway construction investment of 18.19 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 10%. The construction of key trunk lines in the western region is progressing in an orderly manner, and many tunnels such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line High-speed Railway Mopanshan Tunnel and Xiling High-speed Railway Xiling were successfully completed.

The important part of the "river-river channel" in the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network - the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway has entered the track construction stage. The box girder erection of the Xiongan-Shangqiu high-speed railway Zaoqing extra-large bridge was completed, and the Gaolanhe extra-large bridge of the Yichang-Xingshan high-speed railway was successfully merged.

As an important part of the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, the energy expansion and renovation project of Hami East Station was fully launched on May 11. Hami East Station is located at the throat of the Eurasian Continental Bridge, connecting the three main lines of Lanxin Line, Haro Line and Linha Line. It is the core node for the transportation of coal, minerals and other resources in Xinjiang.

This capacity expansion and renovation focuses on the construction of 7.13 kilometers of Lanxin downstream line and laying 77.73 kilometers of main line and station tracks. After the renovation is completed, the annual freight capacity of Hami Railway Hub will reach more than 178 million tons, further smoothing the coal transportation channel in Xinjiang and helping China-Europe freight trains improve quality and efficiency.
