The reporter learned from the Ministry of Commerce that in 2024, the central government will step up its efforts to support the trade-in of eight categories of home appliances to achieve sales of more than 62 million units, directly boosting consumption by nearly 270 billion yuan.

At the same time, the trade-in policy has driven a double increase in the volume of recycling and dismantling. In 2024, the recycling volume of used household appliances will increase by 14.83% year-on-year, and the number of standardized dismantled waste household appliances will increase by 20% year-on-year.
