Today (28th), at a press conference held by the Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the reporter learned that in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the majority of foreign trade enterprises being affected by the tariff imposed by the United States and provide targeted trade promotion services for enterprises, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade recently conducted a questionnaire survey on more than 1,100 foreign trade enterprises across the country and announced the results of the survey at today's press conference.

The survey results show that nearly 50% of foreign trade companies said they would reduce their business to the United States, and 75.3% of companies plan to expand to emerging markets to make up for the reduced share of exports to the United States. The interviewed companies generally stated that the frequent changing tariff policies have greatly increased uncertainty, making it difficult for enterprises to make long-term plans. However, at the same time, with the help of the government's package of policy support for stabilizing foreign trade, the majority of foreign trade enterprises are also actively looking for ways and finding ways to find out in terms of seeking alternative incremental markets, expanding domestic sales markets and enhancing supply chain resilience.

Zhao Ping, spokesperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will further accelerate the approval of enterprises to participate in exhibitions abroad. As of now, 1,235 planned exhibition projects have been approved in 2025, and nearly 10,000 trade information has been published on the Trade Enterprise Communication platform to help enterprises understand changes in overseas markets and find business opportunities as soon as possible.
