The reporter is holding the planting cups and seed ropes used for sand control for the first time this year. They can solve the management problems of difficult areas on the top of the sand slope and the edge of the desert. In some areas, there is strong wind and fast sand on the top of sand slopes, so it is difficult for vegetation to survive. The outer layer of this planting cup can play a good role in wind and sand prevention, and it is also equipped with an integrated organic fertilizer and water retention agent, which can increase the survival rate of the seeds by 30%.
Wang Lei, director of Mengcao Intelligent Equipment Research Institute, introduced that the machine planted the "planting cup" into the soil and sand, and passed through the organic matter in the paper cup, including the expansion coefficient, which will degrade after adding water for a certain period of time. At this time, the plants will take root in it. Compared with past practices, it is not only a matter of quantity, but also a qualitative change, and the seed bud rate is more worthy of attention.
Compared with the planting cup, there is also a new product with higher cost performance at this year's desert control and greening site - seed rope. This roll of seed rope can be more than 700 meters long, and contains 6,300 seeds, which is very suitable for planting in places with a little greening foundation, and can also be used on a large scale mechanized basis.
For the narrow areas on the edge of the desert, such a long seed rope can play a good role in the edge locking. Wrap the seeds with a paper rope, on the one hand, it can reduce the possibility of strong winds blowing away the seeds. At the same time, the distribution of seeds on the paper rope is relatively even, so that the growing vegetation will be more neat and the stability of the edge belt of the forest and grass will be better.
