CCTV News: According to the Yangtze River Navigation Administration of the Ministry of Transport (hereinafter referred to as the Yangtze River Navigation Administration), during the 40 days of the Spring Festival travel rush, the cumulative passenger volume of the Yangtze River main line reached 7.2881 million, an increase of 25.04% year-on-year. Among them, water tourism in cities along the riverside such as Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Yichang continued to heat up. The cumulative passenger volume of urban riverside cruise ships reached 1.008 million, an increase of 16.28% year-on-year, and the cumulative passenger volume of passenger ferries reached 6.2872 million, an increase of 26.56% year-on-year.

In terms of key material transportation, the Changsha Navigation Administration has implemented measures to give priority to pilotage, pass through the gate, anchorage, and reliance on the off-bearing measures to implement pilotage for 5,838 ships, ensuring the safe transportation of 81.4774 million tons of coal, 12.3612 million tons of oil and natural gas, and 9.7981 million tons of food. From January 14 to February 22, the cargo volume of ships entering and leaving the port on the Yangtze River main line reached 378 million tons, an increase of 7.85% year-on-year.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, the security situation of Yangtze River shipping continues to be stable. The Changhai Administration of China implements 24-hour emergency duty, with 451 coastal patrol boats and waterway boats in the entire system and 2,230 law enforcement and operation and maintenance personnel on duty. Strengthen contact, communication and information sharing with transportation, hydrology, meteorological and shipping companies along the river provinces and cities, promptly warn and control cold waves and fog weather that occur during the Spring Festival travel rush, and coordinate 675 social emergency forces such as tugboats and floating cranes to pre-set them in key waters along the Yangtze River.

The Yangtze River Maritime Department strengthened on-site maintenance of key ferry lines, implemented on-site inspections of peak passenger flow, carried out a total of 1,119 passenger-related ships to monitor, strengthened approval of dangerous goods declaration, pass-through operations and on-site inspections of loading and unloading operations, and 100% tracking and maintenance of key sections to ensure the safety of water transportation of dangerous goods. The Yangtze River waterway department closely monitored the operation of the waterway and timely released the waterway water level information. A total of 2,803 waterway patrols were carried out, 220 service information were released, and 15 construction ships were stationed and dredged in key waterways such as Yudong, Zhijiang, and Jiujiang, ensuring safe and smooth waterways. The Three Gorges Navigation Management Department of the Yangtze River optimizes the Three Gorges Navigation Schedule and Organization, and fine-tune the on-site ship tracing to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the lock.
