News from CCTV: Data from the Comprehensive Transportation Spring Festival Transport Work Class show that on February 6, 2026 (the fifth day of Spring Festival travel, Friday, the 19th day of the twelfth lunar month), the number of cross-regional personnel movements in the whole society was 211.257 million, a month-on-month increase of 7.6%, and an increase of 1.2% over the same period in 2025 (Saturday). Among them:
◆ Railway passenger volume was 12.845 million, an increase of 9.2% month-on-month and a decrease of 4.5% compared with the same period in 2025.
◆ The traffic volume of highway personnel (including non-commercial passenger car travel volume on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways, and highway commercial passenger volume) was 195.35 million, a month-on-month increase of 7.6%, and an increase of 1.6% over the same period in 2025. Among them, the commercial passenger volume on highways was 32.96 million, a month-on-month increase of 5.8%, and a 3% increase over the same period in 2025; the non-commercial passenger car travel volume on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways was 162.39 million, a month-on-month increase of 8%, and a 1.3% increase over the same period in 2025.
