In September 2023, the "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to explore a new path of cross-strait integration development and build a cross-strait integration development demonstration zone" was released. Over the past year, the construction of the demonstration zone has started well and started well. Song Tao, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, clearly stated when talking about the next key tasks that it is necessary to solidly promote the implementation of the "Opinions" and increase support, contribute to the promotion of the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, and accumulate conditions for promoting the great cause of national reunification.
Relevant ministries and commissions and Fujian Province heads emphasized that it is necessary to give full play to Fujian's unique advantages and pioneering demonstration role in cooperation with Taiwan. In the future, Fujian will improve the work implementation mechanism, strengthen various guarantee mechanisms, continuously expand the field of social integration, consolidate the foundation of economic integration, expand emotional integration paths, and improve the results of overall integration.
