CCTV News: According to the Ministry of Water Resources, recently, the management and protection scope demarcation of Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub and Xixiayuan Anti-regulation Reservoir Project have been fully completed. It involves 8 counties (cities and districts) in Shanxi and Henan Provinces, with a demarcated management scope of 320.6 square kilometers and a protection scope of 385.6 square kilometers.

The management and protection scope of water conservancy projects are important measures to protect water conservancy projects in accordance with the law and promote high-quality development of water conservancy. Complete the management and protection scope of Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub and Xixiayuan Anti-regulation Reservoir Project Demarcation is of great significance for strengthening hub operation and reservoir management, ensuring the safety of reservoir capacity and hub safety, and promoting the full play of the comprehensive benefits of the hub.

The Xiaolangdi Management Center attaches great importance to the management and protection scope of Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub and Xixiayuan Anti-regulation Reservoir Project Demarcation Work. In accordance with the work deployment of the Ministry of Water Resources, on the basis of obtaining a permanent land acquisition certificate for the project management area and reservoir area in the early stage, and completing the burial of the boundary piles of the reservoir management scope, combined with the requirements of the standardized creation of water conservancy projects, accelerate the promotion of the announcement of management scope results and the demarcation of protection scope results. The Xiaolangdi and Xixiayuan Reservoir Areas involve 189 administrative villages in 4 cities and 33 townships and 189 administrative villages in 4 cities and 2 provinces, with a wide area, a high population density, and a concentrated social and economic activities, making it difficult to coordinate work. The Xiaolangdi Management Center formulated the "Delimitation Report on the Management Scope and Protection Scope of Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub and Xixiayuan Anti-regulation Reservoir Management Scope of Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub and Xixiayuan Anti-regulation Reservoir Management Scope", and actively communicated and connected with the Water Resources Departments of the two provinces, municipal, county (city, district) governments, natural resources, water conservancy and other departments, and conducted more than 10 research and consultations to solve work difficulties. In February 2024 and April 2025, the two provinces passed the review and announcement respectively, marking the full completion of the management and protection scope of the Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub and Xixiayuan Anti-regulation Reservoir Project.
