CCTV News: According to the WeChat official account of the State Immigration Administration, during this year's May Day holiday, the national border inspection agencies guaranteed a total of 10.896 million Chinese and foreign personnel entry and exit, with an average of 2.179 million people per day, an increase of 28.7% from last year's May Day holiday. The highest peak of entry and exit customs clearance occurred on May 3, reaching 2.297 million people. Among them, 5.778 million people from mainland residents entered and left the country, an increase of 21.2% over the same period last year; 4.03 million people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan entered and left the country, an increase of 37.1% over the same period last year; 1.115 million people from foreigners entered and left the country, an increase of 43.1% over the same period last year; among foreigners, 380,000 people from visa-free policies, an increase of 72.7% over the same period last year. A total of 456,000 inbound and outbound transportation vehicles (ships, trays, and vehicles) were inspected, an increase of 18.1% over the same period last year.
In accordance with the unified deployment of the State Immigration Administration, the national border inspection agencies strictly implement the requirements of "two announcements and one reminder" to scientifically predict and timely publish the inbound and outbound passenger flow at this port, and remind the majority of inbound and outbound personnel to arrange their itineraries reasonably; organize service scientifically, open up full inspection channels, and strictly implement the measures for Chinese citizens to queue for customs clearance for no more than 30 minutes; strengthen departmental cooperation and linkage, and steadily carry out passenger flow guidance and comprehensive transportation supporting facilities during peak periods to ensure smooth customs clearance for passengers to the greatest extent. During the May Day holiday, the entry and exit of ports across the country will be safe, efficient, stable and orderly.
