As the new employment form of "new type of work-related injury insurance", the pilot areas continue to implement it smoothly. As of the end of March, more than 11.04 million employees on the platform such as food delivery riders and online ride-hailing drivers participated in insurance.
From the fund revenue and expenditure, the total income of the three social insurance funds for basic pension, unemployment and work-related injuries in the first quarter was 2.36 trillion yuan, and the total expenditure was 1.94 trillion yuan. The cumulative balance at the end of March was 9.6 trillion yuan, and the fund operation was generally stable.
In terms of protecting the bottom line and ensuring the basic living of unemployed people, in the first quarter, the human resources and social security department paid a total of 8.26 million minimum living allowances, extremely poor people, etc., and also paid 36.54 billion yuan in unemployment insurance benefits, such as unemployment insurance benefits, basic medical insurance premiums, temporary price subsidies, etc.
