CCTV News: In the first quarter of 2025, my country's software and information technology service industry (hereinafter referred to as "software industry") had a good operating trend, software business revenue grew steadily, total profits maintained double-digit growth, and the growth rate of software business exports turned from negative to positive.

1. Overall operation status

Software business revenue has grown steadily. In the first quarter, my country's software business revenue was 3147.9 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6% year-on-year.

The growth rate of total profits maintained double-digit growth. In the first quarter, the total profit of the software industry was 372.6 billion yuan, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year.

The export growth rate of software business turned from negative to positive. In the first quarter, software business exports were US$13.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%.

2. Operation status of sectors

Software product revenue has grown steadily. In the first quarter, software product revenue was 753.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, accounting for 23.9% of the industry's revenue. Among them, industrial software products revenue was 67.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%; basic software products revenue was 41.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%.

Information technology service revenue maintains double-digit growth. In the first quarter, information technology service revenue was 2082 billion yuan, an increase of 11.0% year-on-year, accounting for 66.1% of the industry's revenue. Among them, cloud computing and big data services achieved a total revenue of 354 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1% year-on-year, accounting for 17.0% of information technology service revenue; integrated circuit design revenue was 90.6 billion yuan, an increase of 19.7% year-on-year; and e-commerce platform technology service revenue was 248.2 billion yuan, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.

Information security revenue growth is accelerating. In the first quarter, information security products and services revenue was 48.1 billion yuan, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year.

Embedded system software revenue fell slightly. In the first quarter, embedded system software revenue was 264.2 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5% year-on-year.

3. Operation status by region

In the first quarter, the eastern region, central region, western region and northeastern region increased by 10.6%, 11.8%, 9.9% and 10.9% year-on-year respectively. The eastern region accounts for 84.2% of the total national software business revenue. The software business revenue in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region increased by 11.8% year-on-year, and the software business revenue in the Yangtze River Delta region increased by 10.4% year-on-year. Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai ranked among the top 5 in the country in terms of revenue, with year-on-year growth of 11.8%, 8.2%, 10.0%, 12.4% and 14.1% respectively.
