The reporter learned from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation that on the first day of the May Day holiday (May 1), the cross-regional personnel flow in Guangdong Province reached 38.1682 million, an increase of 15.38% year-on-year. The traffic volume of Shenzhen-China Channel was about 181,600, setting a new high, setting a new record of about 178,400 trains on April 4 this year (the first day of the Qingming Festival holiday).
It is reported that on May 1, 2025, the railway passenger volume in Guangdong Province was 2.4512 million, an increase of 28.74% year-on-year.
The traffic flow of highways was 35.1812 million, an increase of 14.16% year-on-year.
The number of non-commercial passenger buses on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways was 32.9667 million, an increase of 14.73% year-on-year;
The number of commercial passengers on highways was 2.2145 million, an increase of 0.34% year-on-year.
The water passenger volume was 246,500, an increase of 22.94% year-on-year.
The civil aviation passenger volume was 289,300, an increase of 20.10% year-on-year.

Among them, the traffic flow of expressways in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was about 7.9849 million, an increase of 18.56% year-on-year. The traffic volume of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was about 20,800, an increase of 22.13% year-on-year. The traffic flow of Huangmaohai cross-sea channel is about 31,300.
On May 1, the passenger throughput of Qiongzhou Strait ferry was 107,900, and 27,900 vehicles entered and exited the island.
