CCTV News: The 2025 Shanghai Auto Show opened on the 23rd, lasting ten days, and the 27th is Public Day. The reporter found that in the context of the complex and changing global economic situation, many multinational auto companies still regard the Chinese market as the strategic focus of the global market and continue to "increase their investment" in China.

During the auto show, Japan's Toyota Motor has been making a series of major news. Not only did it formally sign a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, it established a wholly-owned factory in its brand Lexus in Shanghai. It also announced that it would adopt the Chinese chief engineer system worldwide for the first time, and for the first time, the research and development of new products led by Chinese local engineers.

Li Hui, general manager of Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., said: "The purpose of doing this is to create a Toyota car that is suitable for the needs of Chinese consumers and does not lose the Toyota heritage. In the future, the technology mastered by Toyota will feed back to the world."

At the BMW booth, the super-sensing smart cockpit designed by BMW Shanghai R&D team debuted in Asia for the first time, bringing a new human-computer interactive experience. It is understood that this new technology will be mass-produced by the end of this year and will be reversely transported to European factories.

BMW Group Chairman Zipze said: "We have established the largest R&D center outside Germany in China, and more than 3,000 engineers focus on the research and development of autonomous driving technology and digital user interfaces."

The cooperation between Audi and SAIC has made new progress, not only showing a new chassis specially designed for Chinese road conditions, but also jointly developing a new intelligent platform with SAIC.

Song Feiming, CEO of Audi SAIC Cooperation Project, said: "China is well deserved to be the core base for global automotive industry transformation. Whether it is technological innovation or commercialization speed, no market can be as competitive as China."

In the supply chain and parts exhibition area, the person in charge of this French company told reporters that the Shanghai International Auto Show has become the only major exhibition they participated in throughout the year.

Shang Weilan, Executive Vice President of Sustainable Development of Freya Group, said: "We will push our innovative achievements in China to the global market and enhance our competitiveness, so as to achieve the transformation from 'Made in China' to 'Creation in China'." Experts said that from this Shanghai International Auto Show, more and more foreign-invested enterprises are changing from "entering into China" to "integrating into China".

Fu Bingfeng, executive vice president of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said: "In the development of China's new energy vehicles, a comprehensive and complete supply chain system has been cultivated. These foundations are a very important resource for multinational companies to develop new products in China, respond to market upgrading, and move to the global market."
