[Introduction to this issue]
On April 24, Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Kenyan President Ruto in Beijing. The two heads of state agreed to elevate the positioning of bilateral relations to a community with a shared future in China and Kenya in the new era. Xi Jinping said that building a community with a shared future is the right path to mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and win-win results, and "similarity between the same goal". Both China and Kenya should be peers and true friends on the road to modernization.
The friendship between China and Kenya originated from the ancient Maritime Silk Road. Since the new era, China and Kenya have close high-level exchanges and political mutual trust have continued to deepen. All sectors of Kenya believe that Kenya-China cooperation upholds a common vision, and African countries should give full play to the potential of Africa-China cooperation and work together to build a more fair, just, diverse and prosperous world.
