Climbing up to a tower more than ten meters high, Deng Jing and his colleagues began to inspect. Looking from her location, you can see the entire methanol plant factory area - huge reactors, towering chimneys, and various complex arrangements of pipes.

In 2007, Kailuan Group began to transform into the chemical field. That year, Deng Jing joined the initial construction work of the factory as the first batch of technical workers in Zhongrun Company.

"At that time, this place was still a salt-alkali land. Seeing these equipment build bit by bit and the pipelines gradually become denser, these are all the hard work of everyone," said Deng Jing.

Deng Jing's deep cultivation of coke oven gas methanol technology is the use of coke oven gas generated by coal in the process of refining coke to produce methanol, a basic raw material of industrial raw material. This is an important link in the green circulation development of the Jingtanggang Coal Chemical Park of Kailuan Group, and it is also a job with complex processes and high risk factors.

"The company's coke oven gas methanol production process project had almost no operational experience that could be learned from more than ten years ago." Yuan Shoujing, director of the company's methanol branch, recalled that Deng Jing always "sucked" in his position, and with continuous exploration and accumulation, he became a comprehensive operator.

The equipment accident encountered when a device was about to be put into production made Yuan Shoujing remember it deeply: a large operating equipment suddenly showed abnormal temperature and high pressure, which could cause an explosion at any time. Deng Jing calmly made a judgment and issued various instructions within a few dozen seconds. The temperature dropped, the pressure was unloaded, and various media such as oxygen were controlled, avoiding a series of pressure explosion accident.

The precise and bold control of technology has made Deng Jing "famous in one battle."

"If you understand, you won't be afraid." Behind the words Deng Jing always says is her persistence in drilling every equipment and every pipeline over the years, and her rigor for turning over technical drawings and presetting various emergency working conditions.

It is this almost "parafied" professional pursuit that has enabled her to master the operating skills of all positions in the methanol central control room in just 5 years, becoming the only female duty monitor in the company.

In 2017, when Deng Jing first arrived at the position of section chief, a 30-cm weld bead crack at the tank discharge port of the secondary hydrodesulfurization tank seriously affected the normal production progress due to incomplete disposal.

So Deng Jing began to study the process flow, repeatedly calculated and proposed a disposal plan, successfully solved the problem of weld bead cracks, reduced the loss of methanol production by 8,280 tons, and increased the company's profit by 6.624 million yuan.

In 2014, Deng Jing Innovation Studio was established. She led the studio team to complete more than 40 innovative projects and increase the production capacity of the equipment by 10%. Some of the development patents won the first prize of Hebei Province's Science and Technology Progress, and some of the technological transformation achieved the first domestic application, creating benefits of over 100 million yuan for enterprises.

"The stage of technical workers has never been as broad as it is today." Deng Jing said, which also encourages me to always have the spirit of "selfless struggle".

In 2020, Deng Jing Innovation Studio was rated as a "National Skill Master Studio". Many high-skilled talents in the team won awards in competitions at all levels, including 2 won "National Technical Expert", 5 won "Technical Expert in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry", and 3 won "Tangshan Craftsmen"... Deng Jing not only grew up himself, but also led the progress of the entire team.

Ding's pace is becoming increasingly firm on the road from "worker" to "craftsman". In recent years, while doing her job well, she has taught live through the National Coal Industry Skill Master Teaching Platform, and participated in the referees and judges of many national skills competitions, passing on front-line experience and technology to more peers.

This "sonorous rose" from the coal chemical front uses its professionalism and perseverance to prove the unique brilliance that workers shine in the construction of a "manufacturing power".
